The ForeRunner 200E series from Marconi is a set of 155 Mbps asynchronous transfer mode (ATM) network interface cards (NICs) designed for mid-range server and workstation environments. Based on an advanced application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) technology, with programmable firmware and an Intel i960 coprocessor, each ForeRunner 200E series NIC is tuned to the particular input/output (I/O) architecture of the host compute.
